I'm Dr. Shira
I created Purpose Inspired Education (PIE), as the approach to learning I long needed as a high school teacher, principal of pre-K to 8th grade schools, university instructor, author and speaker, and most recently owner of my very own childcare center and preschool.
In more than a quarter century leading schools, I've recognized something I sensed since the beginning of my career, but couldn't articulate clearly until recently. Great education is grounded in a core purpose.
I've transformed my school, and have supported other educators to transform their schools, nonprofits, and social impact businesses. Once embracing the Purpose Inspired Education (PIE) approach, educators dramatically increase their impact, focused on what actually matters most.

Lesson Four:
Your Compass
While ambitious goals often inspire us, they can at times feel burdensome, increasing our stress as we face obstacles and fail to make progress at the speed we anticipated.
Rather than thinking of our goals and strategic plan as a roadmap, we can imagine a GPS, recalibrating and showing us new ways forward when obstacles appear.
By focusing on milestones, and the next steps to take toward those milestones, we can limit overwhelm and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Lesson Five:
Your Culture
Lose focus on cultivating positive culture, even briefly, and there will often be a rapid decline in morale.
The good news is, you can focus cultivate a thriving culture through the tasks already on your plate, without having to take on any additional responsibilities.
By placing purpose at the core of all you do, you'll transform your current tasks & responsibilities into the keys to positive transformation.

Your Capacity
With the many demands on you and your people, its a challenge to find the time and the energy to take professional growth, learning, and development seriously.
